Only under the following circumstances may a buyer cancel an order:
The buyer never receives the book and the United States Postal Service's Delivery Confirmation Service confirms items was not delivered
The buyer receives the book in a condition that is 'considerably different' from the condition entered by the seller
The buyer receives the wrong book
If one of the above conditions is met, the following return procedures apply:
Buyer never receives book: If the book is not received by the buyer within 30 business days please contact GetCheapBooks.com support. Once GetCheapBooks.com verifies with the USPS's Delivery Confirmation Service that the book was never delivered, we will issue you a full refund.
Book's condition unacceptable: Under the circumstance that the book's condition is 'considerably different' from the condition represented by the seller, you should contact the seller within 7 business days of receiving the order to schedule an exchange or refund. GetCheapBooks.com considers a book's condition 'considerably different' only if the book is damaged two or more book-ratings less than represented by the seller (please see our book rating sections for details of our 1-5 book rating system). If the book condition is 2 or more conditions worse than represented, then under the terms of the marketplace agreement, the seller must exchange the damaged book or refund the full price of the book to the buyer. The seller agrees to complete the book exchange or refund upon receipt of the returned book from buyer and must pay for all shipping.
The wrong book is shipped: If an incorrect book is shipped to the buyer, the buyer should contact the seller for an exchange or refund within 7 days. Under the terms of the marketplace agreement, the seller is obligated to exchange the wrong book for the book you ordered. The seller agrees to complete the book exchange or refund upon receipt of the returned book from buyer and must pay all shipping charges.
GetCheapBooks.com has found that in most cases, there is a simple misunderstanding that the buyer and seller should be able to resolve amicably. In the situation, however, that the buyer and seller are unable to reach an agreement, then the buyer must first contact GetCheapBooks.com support. GetCheapBooks.com will then contact the buyer and seller in hopes that the problem can be resolved. Refunds are issued at the discretion of GetCheapBooks.com. Buyers who instruct their credit card company to charge back the disputed book may have their GetCheapBooks.com membership suspended. Refunds will not be issued after 45 days from the order date.
